Evening fog

My daughter took this photo yesterday afternoon which so beautifully captures the fog that descended on our little town. I had to drive through it later when the night had descended and it was so hard to see, especially further into the distance. Fog always seems to evoke a spooky kinda feeling. Like something strange might emerge out of it at any time. Last night, there was a stillness as well so that the fog was like a comforting blanket rather than something eerie. Sometimes we can only see what's right in front of us, rather than what's up ahead. Who knows what the future might hold... All we can do is concentrate on what's happening in the present moment and enjoy what it brings.
